Nurse Call
The system combines custom Web-enabled software with custom hardware running over a high performance computer network. The goal is to provide a solution for nurse stations to monitor the status of rooms and manage referential data for hospital personnel. The idea is to provide a computer- based interface where nurses can manage patients from their stations as well as monitoring other medical areas. Rooms will display button and light panels that will indicate when patients and/or physicians are using the rooms. When a nurse places a patient in the room, the patient button will be pushed, which turns on the patient light as well as displaying the light through the interface. The same type of procedure is done for physicians entering a room. The button and light panels are also used for nurse calls, lab calls, and emergencies.

Enhance Common Nurse Call Systems

This system will allow nurse stations to monitor the status of rooms and physicians. It also provides an interface to manage data, collect statistics and generate reports. Each room will have a series of lights outside of its door. The light represents a different status for the room. When a physician enters the room, they will press the "physician in" button, when a nurse escorts a patient into a room, they will push the "patient in" button, etc. There are also buttons/lights for nurse calls, lab calls, and emergencies. The images below reference some of the light and button panels.

Improve Patient Care and Increase Profit

The Nurse Call System allows easy monitoring of patient flow to reduce wait times. It also provides instant notification of exam rooms requiring attention to eliminate delays. And the fully manageable physician queue controls the treatment order, in addition to the finely detailed exam room, specialty, and physician utilization reports to monitor efficiency.
